Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services provide Aboriginal community controlled and managed health and community services. Focused Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Services include the provision of clinical and non-clinical interventions for drug and alcohol issues.
Services include providing primary health care, counselling, advocacy, community education, pharmacotherapy prescription, groups, referrals and support to people accessing alcohol and drug treatment programs. The Drug and Alcohol Team works closely with other Winnunga staff to ensure holistic service provision. Winnunga also provides the Road to Recovery Program, Tackling Indigenous Smoking Program (including No More Boondah), a Needle and Syringe Program and Opioid Maintenance Treatment.

Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health and Community Services also provides:
Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program – Winnunga’s TIS program delivers a range of activities including information sessions and stalls at events, schools and workplaces to provide education and information on smoking harms. Smoking cessation support is referred to Winnunga’s ‘No More Boondah’ quit smoking program and the Aboriginal Quitline. TIS has a range of free promo gear, displays and models targeting smoking in pregnancy, avoiding uptake of smoking especially youth, the dangers of second hand smoke and keeping cars and homes smoke free.
