The Matrix Program is an Intensive Outreach Program. It is a structured treatment experience for clients with stimulant use and other drug disorders. The program specifically addresses the issues relevant to clients who are dependent on stimulant drugs, particularly methamphetamine, cocaine, as well as other substances. The keys to the success of Matrix are abstinence, improved social connection, and sustained commitment to recovery. The program integrates a Lived Experience Peer Mentor and experienced AOD (Alcohol and Other Drug) Counsellor with considerable metrics to ensure the program achieves optimal outcomes for those who complete the program.
The program integrates 12 step / mutual self-help programs, individual counselling, and weekly scheduling to ensure clients continue to remain on track. The program has 32 session topics covered over a 16-week period.
